DOCUMENTARY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

Black and white portrait of a woman with dark hair and bangs, wearing glasses, a dark top, and a necklace, with her arms crossed against a textured black background.

>“As someone who is chronically camera-shy, the photos that Romina managed to capture of me are breathtaking. Her style of dynamic, candid photography is second to none. They are hands down my favourite pictures of myself. I can’t recommend her enough!”<

I don't just pose you.
I watch you.

Ciao!

I'm Romina, an Edinburgh-based wedding photographer working across Scotland and Italy. My approach is documentary with heart: I stay close, move quietly, and trust that the real moments will happen if I give them space to breathe. But I also like to step in to help when needed: to help with holding flowers, fix your hair, or anything in between.

Your wedding day will be full of blink-and-you'll-miss-them seconds. The exhale after you say "I do." Your dad's face when he sees you in the dress. The chaotic, beautiful mess of the dancefloor at midnight. I'm there for all of it with a camera, full-body goosebumps, and a very quiet pair of shoes.

Photography that feels
like your wedding did

Gentle but fearless

I'll fix your veil, calm your nerves, and slip into the background. You won't feel like you're being photographed , you’ll be just like yourself, on one of the best days of your life.

A wedding ceremony outdoors with a bride and groom facing each other, surrounded by friends and family, during daytime. The bride wears a wedding dress with veil, the groom is in a suit with kilt. A woman reads from a book, and there are flowers and chairs in the background.

No stiff portraits

Formal portraits have their place, but they're kept short and painless. The majority of your gallery will be genuine: from big laughs to soft smiles, tears, dancing, chaos, tenderness and everything in between.

HOW I WORK

A man and woman walking on a city sidewalk in front of a historic building with arched windows and a sign that reads 'Moray Place'. The woman is wearing a white blazer, beige high heels, sunglasses, and a dark brown blazer over her shoulders. The man is dressed in a white shirt and dark trousers, also wearing sunglasses, and covering his ears with his hands.

A record of feeling

My goal isn't a pretty set of images, it's a record of how your wedding felt. The warmth, the noise, the goosebumps. Years from now, the images will be a reminder of the day, not the pose.

WHERE I SHOOT

Edinburgh, Glasgow, Scotland

Edinburgh is home: its cobbled streets, volcanic background, and ancient stone make every wedding feel unique. I also love shooting across the Lothians and in Glasgow, where the architecture, light, and energy are entirely their own.

FILM PHOTOGRAPHY ADD-ON

Some moments deserve
more than pixels.

I offer 35mm and 120 medium format film photography as an add-on to any Edinburgh wedding package. Film brings a warmth, grain, and colour shift that no digital preset can honestly replicate: especially beautiful against Edinburgh's moody skies and sandstone buildings.

Each frame on film is deliberate. Each roll, irreplaceable. It pairs perfectly with a documentary approach: real moments, on a format built to last.

>“Along with being incredibly patient and easy going, Romina allowed me the comfort and space to be myself. I couldn't recommend her enough!”<
