DOCUMENTARY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
>“As someone who is chronically camera-shy, the photos that Romina managed to capture of me are breathtaking. Her style of dynamic, candid photography is second to none. They are hands down my favourite pictures of myself. I can’t recommend her enough!”<
M - Edinburgh 2026
I don't just pose you.
I watch you.
Ciao!
I'm Romina, an Edinburgh-based wedding photographer working across Scotland and Italy. My approach is documentary with heart: I stay close, move quietly, and trust that the real moments will happen if I give them space to breathe. But I also like to step in to help when needed: to help with holding flowers, fix your hair, or anything in between.
Your wedding day will be full of blink-and-you'll-miss-them seconds. The exhale after you say "I do." Your dad's face when he sees you in the dress. The chaotic, beautiful mess of the dancefloor at midnight. I'm there for all of it with a camera, full-body goosebumps, and a very quiet pair of shoes.
Photography that feels
like your wedding did
Gentle but fearless
I'll fix your veil, calm your nerves, and slip into the background. You won't feel like you're being photographed , you’ll be just like yourself, on one of the best days of your life.
No stiff portraits
Formal portraits have their place, but they're kept short and painless. The majority of your gallery will be genuine: from big laughs to soft smiles, tears, dancing, chaos, tenderness and everything in between.
HOW I WORK
A record of feeling
My goal isn't a pretty set of images, it's a record of how your wedding felt. The warmth, the noise, the goosebumps. Years from now, the images will be a reminder of the day, not the pose.
WHERE I SHOOT
Edinburgh, Glasgow, Scotland
-
From intimate ceremonies at Edinburgh City Chambers to grand receptions in the shadow of the castle… the city is one long, cinematic backdrop I’m lucky to call home.
-
Country estates, coastal light at North Berwick, and the rolling countryside around Haddington and Musselburgh, East Lothian or Linlithgow Palace, Hopetoun House, and the quiet elegance of West Lothian's countryside are full of beautiful wedding settings. Just around the corner from Edinburgh.
-
Glasgow's bold architecture, vibrant venues, and that unmistakable energy make for weddings with real personality… and I love every minute of shooting there!
-
My first home, Italy, where I can help organise your destination weddings, or Europe, where I’ll happily join your party anywhere you’d want to go!
Edinburgh is home: its cobbled streets, volcanic background, and ancient stone make every wedding feel unique. I also love shooting across the Lothians and in Glasgow, where the architecture, light, and energy are entirely their own.

FILM PHOTOGRAPHY ADD-ON
Some moments deserve
more than pixels.
I offer 35mm and 120 medium format film photography as an add-on to any Edinburgh wedding package. Film brings a warmth, grain, and colour shift that no digital preset can honestly replicate: especially beautiful against Edinburgh's moody skies and sandstone buildings.
Each frame on film is deliberate. Each roll, irreplaceable. It pairs perfectly with a documentary approach: real moments, on a format built to last.>“Along with being incredibly patient and easy going, Romina allowed me the comfort and space to be myself. I couldn't recommend her enough!”<

Everything you
want to know
-
Most Edinburgh couples book 12–6 months in advance, especially for peak May and September Saturdays. That said, if your date is closer, it's always worth getting in touch: late availability does happen and I'll always reply to all enquiries.
-
Absolutely. I regularly shoot across all of the UK and Europe!
Travel within Edinburgh is always included, and I'm happy to discuss anything a little further afield too.
-
Documentary wedding photography means I capture your day as it actually unfolds. I work quietly in the background, watching for real moments, but I’ll always step in to help when and if needed. The result is a record of how your wedding felt, not just how it looked.
-
Yes: 35mm and 120 film photography is available as an add-on to any wedding package. Film brings a warmth and grain that's impossible to replicate digitally, and it pairs beautifully with Edinburgh's stone architecture and Scotland’s lush greenery.
-
Full coverage packages typically include 500–800 fully edited images delivered via a private online gallery. I edit every photo with care, these aren't bulk exports, batch edited using AI, they're images I'd be proud to put my name on.
